POOJA GOR
Pooja Gor is the
latest find of Ekta Kapoors Balaji Telefilms. Pooja is a total newcomer to the
Indian Television Industry. She is currently recognised for playing the
beautiful simple girl role of Purvi in NDTV Imagines popular well-known drama
Kitani Mohabbat Hai. She is also known for her beautiful onscreen Chemistry
with her fellow co-actor actor Salil (Shresth Kumar).
On the 1st
June 1991 in Ahmedabad, India, Ararti and Avinash Gor was blessed with a
beautiful girl named Pooja. Pooja also nicknamed Pooh is the eldest of the
siblings and is the only girl of the Gor Family; she has one little brother
called Naman. She can speak Gujarati (Mother Tongue) and Hindi and English
fluently.
Her early childhood
passed in Ahmedabad and she started her schooling there too. Though she is
known to have a shy personality she is a very bubbly, caring and talented girl,
who enjoys playing volleyball, and likes to sing and dance in her spare time
and off course act. To pursue her acting dreams, Pooja has not given up her
studies (thus making her a good role model to kids, setting an example that you
do not have to give up on your education in order to step in to the
entertainment industry, in other words both education and acting could be done)
and is currently a University Student, studying Commerce (B.Com) and hoping to
graduate soon.
Before stepping in to the Balaji Camp, her career took off
through modelling. She won Miss University Runner Up Title in contest called MR
and MISS University organised by NIEM (NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF EVENT MANAGEMENT)
at a regional level in Gujarat in year 2008. In the very same contest Pooja
qualified for National Level and there she also won Miss University Runner Up
India-2008 and also Miss Photogenic Face of 2008. Finally she was spotted by
Ekta Kapoor on the Social Networking site Facebook and was called to audition.
With the support from her family she went for the audition, which proved to be successful
and was given the simple girl role of Purvi to play in NDTV imagines popular
hit show Kitani Mohabbat Hai.
Pooja is slowly becoming a well-known face of Indian TV and the
Balaji Camp. She has won over the hearts of audience, through her natural
acting playing the simple girl role of Purvi.Though It’s still early days for
her in the acting industry and as she would tell you it’s all happen sooner
than expected, the audience have a lot more to see from her and providing she
continues to get the support from the audience she is hoping to have a long
successful acting career.
